Above the Rest Luxury Cabins was founded in 1993, and we “discovered” it as a vacation destination in 1998, when we first rented a cabin here.  We returned every year since, often multiple times, to retreat from our hectic lives as chemistry professors at Georgia Southern University.  In May, 2005, we purchased the company and moved to the mountains.

We know, love and deeply respect this stunning area of the country.  Our goal is to ensure your vacation is beyond compare.  Attention to detail, pampering touches you simply will not find elsewhere and the best customer service in the industry are the hallmarks of our approach to business.
